Title: Senior Analyst, Tax - Transfer pricing

TheSenior Analyst, Tax - Transfer pricingwill support the Terex work in the intercompany (“IC”) and transfer pricing cycle of budget, forecast, transfer pricing adjustments, documentation, controversy, and operational transfer pricing function, supporting IC transaction pricing processes worldwide for tangible goods, services, royalties, and IC finance transactions.
The successful candidate will monitor and report on compliance with IC pricing policies and financial targets set by the transfer pricing team and make recommendations relating to any variances. The Senior Analyst role is a high-profile position that must work closely with senior finance and operations executives globally. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills are required to be effective. Previous work experience in the area of transfer pricing in an accounting/boutique firm or within a multinational entity is required. Exceptional work experience in finance-related "big-data" applications will also be considered.
Support the implementation of policies, procedures, and practices regarding the pricing and documentation of all intercompany transactions.
Prepare transfer pricing documentation as required under the tax laws of the various jurisdictions in which Terex operates.
Perform benchmarking for purposes of evaluating the arm’s length nature of transfer prices for certain intercompany transactions to support operations.
Review and create intercompany agreements as needed; ensure that agreements are in place when required for intercompany transactions.
Coordinate amendment of customs entries, VAT invoices, currency control, and other government declarations when transfer price adjustments are required.
Maintain transfer pricing intranet website, content, and communication.
Review transfer pricing documentation such that the documentation complies with relevant transfer pricing requirements and support positions reliable enough to defend under tax audit.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relating to transfer pricing, including developments related to the OECD BEPS initiative and its adoption in countries where Terex operates.
Calculate and recommend forecast and actual price adjustments, as needed.
Cultivate a network of peers and advisors to stay abreast of best practices in the area of operational transfer pricing.
Provide training and ongoing support to business units, corporate functions, and executives.
Take all other reasonable actions to minimize the magnitude and frequency of post-invoice transfer pricing adjustments.
In conjunction with the Senior Manager of Transfer Pricing, develop and maintain intercompany pricing strategies to facilitate business decision support.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, sciences education in business management, or other relevant field.
3+ years of transfer pricing analysis in an accounting firm or multinational entity.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of transfer pricing laws in the U.S. (Other major global economies such as Germany, UK, and China a plus)
A detail-oriented organizational approach that meets deadlines.
The ability to work independently and to team successfully across functions and geographies.
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Deep knowledge of major law changes in the transfer pricing environment such as Base Erosion and Profit Shifting initiative.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access (functions include power pivot, vlookup, hlookup, etc.).
Prior experience developing financial or statistical models.
Experience with one or more of the following applications: Microsoft SharePoint, BvD Transfer Pricing Catalyst, and Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Transfer Pricing.
Tax audit experience in the U.S. and/or abroad.
A strong interest in technology and its use in financial analysis.
Manufacturing industry experience.
General experience using common ERP and consolidation systems: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, etc.
The successful candidate must be fluent in English.
Bilingual language skills are a plus (German preferred).
