Terex Utilities is a truck equipment final stage manufacturer of digger derricks, aerial devices and associated equipment for the utility industry , municipals, telecommunications, tree and electrical contractor markets.

This position is critical to the business development efforts by leading the quotations and orders process and providing customer solutions, price proposals and bid awards for highly customized equipment for specified government and commercial customers.


  • Interpret and evaluate technical specifications, research and understand integration of appropriate components, analyze and determine the cost of equipment and create all proposal content customized to the requestor’s needs.

  • Lead specification review meetings with appropriate functions to properly evaluate customer requirements and determine best customer solutions.

  • Manage, validate and review proposal data and documents submitted by engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and sales to ensure accuracy and standards are met.

  • Utilize quoting software tools, CRM and ERP systems to analyze costs associated with quotations, orders and equipment build histories.

  • Create sales orders after award of bid by detailing all documentation, reports, supplier quotes, and ensuring conformity with customer expectations.

  • Communicate with outside sales and customers regarding unit build changes during the engineering and manufacturing phases. Adjust cost and validate change data accordingly.

  • All other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6 months experience in a sales support role

  • HS Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with medium chassis applications equipment

  • Experience coordinating technical sales proposals including managing, validating and reviewing proposal data and documents and creating sales orders after bid award

  • CRM or ERP Systems

  • Commercial service and/or sales background, involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and/or medium chassis applications.

  • MS Office

  • Sales proposal development/process management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1 year of business to business experience.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of fast-paced, cross-functional analytical team

  • Manage multiple project priorities and deadlines
