Terex Utilities is a truck equipment final stage manufacturer of digger derricks, aerial devices and associated equipment for the utility industry , municipals, telecommunications, tree and electrical contractor markets.

Responsibilities:

The Sales Application Technician works with customers and the Outside Sales Team to match customer requirements with Terex configurations, verify feasibility, and provide supporting technical data. This position will also require the interpretation and conversion of customer specifications into clear and buildable documentation for the quoting and order processing functions of the team.

  • Collaborate closely with customers, Outside Sales, Engineering and Production to determine project feasibility and match customer requirements related to truck configurations and specifications.

  • Review and provide coordinator direction in responding to customer quotation requests to assure clear and buildable documentation from which accurate, cost effective and timely quotations can be generated.

  • Verify customer requests and quotation documents meet Terex, supplier, ANSI and other industry standards to determine feasibility and safety of designs.

  • Utilize 2D/3D CAD software (Draft Sight/AutoCAD/Solidworks utilized) to generate preliminary drawings and weight studies for use in specifying, quoting and producing utility equipment.

  • Follow the specified procedures to increase accuracy and minimize the amount of time to process customer requests.

  • Operate file management software for the storage and retrieval of current and past designs, job record and cost information.

  • Assist in the design, specification and maintenance of standard platforms and options for Terex products.

  • Communicate with vendors to specify equipment to insure a high quality product and ease of manufacture while minimizing the cost.

  • Work with customers and Outside Sales to resolve technical issues.

  • Keep up to date on current product developments in the industry and communicate to Terex team members.

  • Coordinate with Outside Sales to determine the best information to be presented to the customer.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6 months work experience

  • Associates Degree (2018 New Grad OK)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience working with heavy equipment industry

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications

  • Previous experience developing sales proposals

  • CAD

  • MS Office

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of fast-paced, cross-functional analytical team

  • Manage multiple project priorities and deadlines
