The primary purpose of this role is to manage the Technical Services department in Italy, to give support to customers using Terex AWP/Genie products and.to implement and support Genie Service Solutions in the region and This support will be provided to Genie Field Service Engineers, Authorised Service Providers, Authorised Dealers and Direct Customers. The role will be < 50% office based, with travel for customer and internal meetings and product training.
Carry out the day to day requirements within a busy Technical Services department to meet or exceed our customer expectations by supporting both internal and external customers and supporting the Technical Services function.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities:
Support both internal and external customers offering direction and guidance in support business strategy and goals. Responding efficiently to inquiries from customers seeking information on Genie products.
Support the Technical Services Team in Servicing and Repairing of machines as required to ensure conformance with manufacturers specifications and company policy
Interact with fellow Technical Service Managers to ensure accurate and timely sharing of information both technical and commercial
Liaison and interaction with customers and suppliers; as a Terex representative always providing a high standard of Customer Care and following the Terex way.
Accurate and timely completion of all relevant reports and documentation in support of standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with Terex AWP processes and procedures and remain compliant with all local laws and requirements
Work flexibly to perform any other tasks required by Terex AWP EMEAR that are within the employees skills and abilities pursuant to the position
Communicate information on equipment problems or potential enhancements to other teams within the company.
Develop Maintenance and Service Contracts offering in the region to customers with the Sales Team.
Implementation and development of Visual Management and support of TBS and Service Excellence initiative’s.
Creation of Development & Succession Plan for internal team members supported by development objectives. Hold thorough discussion with TM's to fully understand their career goals,. Use some of IDP processes to evaluate TM's and support the creation of development plans. Succession plan in all areas and look for continuous development of the team.
Support the restructure in which as a team we are resourced by engaging our ASP and encourage them to exclusively support the Genie Team in the fulfilment of work allowing our team to become specialist on complex field service issues and enable them to become more engaged with the business. Also supporting the development and succession planning.
Encourage team members to be forthcoming with input and creative ideas support the prospecting and conceptual process and allow these to be taken to market adhering to the PDCA methodology.
Encourage and manage creative process of others. Allow TM's to demonstrate their commitment to delivering service excellence listen and discuss concepts and the resulting factors from driving change and bringing new products/concepts to market.
Create a climate for aspiration through empowerment, influencing decision making and allocating specific tasks and projects to TM's. Understand each TM and know their ' Hot button', delegating accordingly.

Education / qualifications:
Solid Technical competency (Mechanical, Electrics, Hydraulics)
Fluency in English is a must (spoken and written)
Fluency in Italian
This position requires sufficient human relations skill to employ lines of inquiry with both internal and external customers, to achieve harmonious relationships and enhance our value proposition.
This position requires knowledge of the operations of Genie products and the mechanical aptitude to support the technical services team.
Requires the ability to perform the various aspects of the job, including the ability to communicate to customers and Team Members in writing and verbally.
