This position will be tasked with Sr. Project Management responsibilities for key initiatives identified by the Utilities leadership team. The candidate will be responsible for development and implementation of key projects that support the objectives and strategy of the organization. In this role he or she will be required to work with internal and external resources to deliver seamless solutions to our internal stake holders. Functions independently with limited work direction.
Manages projects and maintains responsibility for the planning, coordination, implementation, execution, tracking, delivery, control, and completion of such projects.
Creates project documentation to track and mitigate risks.
Work with leadership to define and lead key improvement projects for the Utilities business
Develop various commercial solutions from extended warranty programs to preventative and annual inspection agreements
Develop various sales generating programs that support parts growth and expansion of product offerings
Lead and Facilitate creation of key performance indicators and systems
Partner with site management team in the development of strategies and solutions to increase productivity and create efficiencies within business processes.
Completes administrative reporting, including metrics, budgeting, and forecasting project financial performance.
Creates, maintains, and communicates progress towards meeting business objectives.
Creates and maintains communication materials, A3s, charters, report-outs, graphical display of metrics, etc, to communicate progress of Metrics for all levels of the organization.
Proactively identifies long-term improvement opportunities, cost reduction activities and revenue growth programs. Develops and deploys the improvements/programs that align with meeting annual goals and objectives.
Lead project teams to complete projects on time, on budget and with the highest level of quality.
Responsible for ensuring alignment with all stakeholders in relation to: project objectives, scope, cost, schedule, and benefits Develop and maintain project schedule and resource plans including staffing and hardware / software expense forecast
Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business area
5-7 years of experience working in cross-functional teams or groups
Previous project management experience
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills, providing options and recommendations relating to resolving issues
Demonstrated experience in managing large scale projects and influencing, driving and managing organizational change.
Must have exceptional understanding of business needs and ability to manage program and product cost to meet objectives.
Knowledge and application of PDCA in project management and problem solving processes
Demonstrated experience creating business improvement programs from idea to successful implementation
Knowledge of the importance of standardization and experience in leading groups and organization build standardized work at various levels.
Ability to influence people at all levels through collaboration and relationship building.
Ability to clearly define and assess additional training needs of the various segments at all levels.
Knowledge of Database software; Project Management software
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
High level of proficiency with MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Excel.
