The Director of Pricing is responsible for leading global machine pricing strategies. The Director of Pricing works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate strategies; analytics and reporting are developed, maintained and adopted to drive pricing execution at AWP.

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities

Actively participate in commercial strategy and execution as it relates to setting pricing goals and targets in all geographic sales regions - “setting the price”

  • Develop, initiate and implement pricing strategies for Machines

  • Take ownership of and maintain financial evaluation tools that support short and long term business growth as well as attainment of all key profitability targets

  • Lead the pricing strategy and process alignment across geographies.

  • Promote ongoing communication between the sales, marketing, product management and finance departments

  • Lead and ensure identification and implementation of best practice pricing processes and tools

  • Conduct customer, dealers, sales rep training seminars

  • Lead competitive pricing benchmarking and maintain up-to-date information about Machine sales competitive positioning

  • Conduct regular meeting with regional commercial teams and distributors (where applicable) to discuss Pricing targets status and corrective actions

Establish and maintain metrics, dashboards, and tools that ensure clear and timely flow of information

  • Maintain and publish performance metrics

  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive company information

Functional team development and leadership; the Director will work closely with key partners to:

  • Develop the team and establish a pipeline of future talent

  • Improve core data, processes, and decision architecture based on the current global pricing and discounting processes

  • Educate to improve business acumen and understanding of core strategies and best practices

Accountabilities and Performance Measures

  • Execution of pricing strategies that supports our ability to achieve revenue, price and share targets.

  • Internal customer satisfaction (sales/commercial, finance, product management).

  • Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting and communication.

  • Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience in pricing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field

  • Master's Degree

  • Working knowledge and previous use of strategic planning tools and execution, especially in the areas of large scale change and business process re-engineering

  • Hands on experience applying lean principles, especially as they relate to administrative processes in a cross-functional environment

  • International working experience

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Cross functional leadership experience

  • Demonstrated leadership ability; excellent communication skills, and ability to drive teams across multiple regions, etc.

  • Working knowledge of capabilities of various databases, ERP, CRM

  • Advanced user of various MS Office products (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
