We have an opportunity for candidates to join ourteam as a Telematics Engineer.This is an exciting new role that builds upon our view that machine data is a key piece of improving the lives of our customers and distributors in how they manage their business and guarantee their return on investment. Working alongsidethe existing MP Telematics and brand support teams, the Telematics Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting machine data across the Terex MP range of equipment in order to provide reporting to our customers, distributors and internal teams across the various business lines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor and Maintain the Telematics system ensuring that the data held is up to date and accurate in order to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the system and the data available from it.
Provide real world interpretation of data coming from machines converting it into tangible insights relating to the operational efficiency, uptime maximisation and preventative maintenance predictions for the equipment, embedding engineering experience into received data.
Provide analytical support to internal and external customers to assist in the investigation of downtime, component failure and anomalies.
Analyse Machine data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and provide support to the Engineering and After-Market teams and other users in the interpretation and use of the data.
Liaise with the Helpdesk teams as required in order to escalate identified problems appropriately to a dealer or customer level and were necessary facilitate the solution in a timely manner.
Engage with product engineering teams to ensure new system designs conform to dealer and customer expectations in relation to the data available.
Continued evaluation of the Telematics system and recovered data
Experience & Qualifications:
An extensive Working Knowledge / hands on experience of Crushing and Screening Equipment (minimum 1 year)
A relevant qualification in engineering, computer science and/or relevant experience
Ability to couple reported data with machine knowledge and experience
Knowledge / experience of Fleet Operations and Telematics systems
Clear understanding and ability to write concise and factual reports
Good English communication skill,both written and spoken;
Good Presentation and interpersonalskills
Ability to lead projects from conception to on time delivery would be a distinct advantage
Ability to recognize and analyze risk.
Computer literacy with a solid Knowledge of Microsoft office, Word & Excel
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A "Can do" attitude and ability to interact wit a multi-functional team.
Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative with minimal supervision along with the ability to proactively plan and prioritise own workload
Able to assess workload and commit to realistic timelines.
Able to investigate root cause of system data inaccuracy.
Position is based in Omagh, N. Ireland.
