Oklahoma City is a unique site to Terex Corporation in North America, manufacturing for each of the business segments: Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Terex Cranes, and Terex Materials Processing. Its workforce of 500+ team members is anticipated to grow by more than 1,000 over the next few years. The 100+ acre facility has recently completed an extensive remodel to accommodate the business’ growth.

The position requires well-developed knowledge of manufacturing practices including assembly tools, and equipment; and assembly of structures, power transmission components, electronic controls, and hydraulic systems.


  • Evaluate, prepare and execute engineering test plans with the cooperation of the assigned design engineers

  • Assist the Test Engineer with Planning and Scheduling test resources

  • Ensure all test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated

  • Ensure adequate supply of consumable test materials

  • Assist the Test Engineer with proper documentation and document retention of test reports

  • Constructs prototype equipment from assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, and knowledge of general machine and product assembly.

  • Reviews mechanical drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams, and instructions, locates parts, and assembles equipment using a variety of tools and fixtures.

  • Consults with engineers and others to understand product information such as design, capacity and materials to be used to fabricate the product.

  • Uses a variety of data acquisition devices and systems testing equipment.

  • Performs thorough inspections and tests of components and equipment. Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operating conditions. Documents test results, troubleshooting problems as required.

  • Evaluates procedures for assembling prototype equipment and recommends changes or modifications to improve efficiency, cost performance, and adaptability to current production methods.

  • Performs regular maintenance of equipment used in research and development and in the assembly of prototype equipment.

  • Maintains the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.


Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree or Engineering Technology Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering Technology Degree in a relevant field, BS in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering Preferred

  • Engineering Technology degree in a relevant field, BS in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering a plus

  • Proficient with PC usage and basic software; Word, Excel, Outlook. 2D and 3D CAD experience a plus

  • Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of tools and equipment used for assembly.

  • Good human relations skills to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with peers, manager, engineers and production team members.

  • Demonstrated technical writing skills, specifically related to documenting test reports

  • Knowledge of engineering terminology including design specifications, computer-assisted design, bill-of-materials, equipment and component testing methods, and equipment function.

  • Ability to read technical blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, and similar documents.
