Oklahoma City is a unique site to Terex Corporation in North America, supporting manufacturing for each of the business segments: Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Terex Cranes, and Terex Materials Processing. Its workforce is anticipated to grow by more than 1,000 over the next few years. The 100+ acre facility has recently begun an extensive remodeling to accommodate the business’ growth.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager for the Strategic Sourcing Implementation Team will:

  • Develop and execute the implementation plan for OKC businesses for parts/suppliers as part of the Terex wide strategic sourcing initiative.

  • Lead a team of 7 to quickly implement new parts/suppliers and recognize cost reductions

  • Interface with corporate and local leaders to accelerate transitions actions

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, administering and completing assigned projects, which may cross several functional areas, such as Terex Cranes, Aerial Work Platforms, and Materials Processing. The incumbent will supervise a staff and provide work direction to individuals supporting a project.

  • Ensure the development and/or adaptation of mechanical, electrical and manufacturing processes that meet specifications and conditions of projects.

  • Ensure compliance with the terms negotiated by Terex Strategic Sourcing Teams.

  • Coordinate and conduct internal and external interfaces when launching suppliers / parts.

  • Optimize internal processes within your team.

  • Manage the team, guiding and enforcing the policies, procedures and / or standards relating to the company, participating in the selection process, directing, coaching, supporting the development of individuals, assessing performance, providing feedback and applying the tools management available.

  • Perform other related the discretion of your supervisor activities.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a project management, product management or manufacturing leadership role

  • Bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated use of written and oral presentation skills

  • Engineering Degree or applicable technical degree (ABET accredited institution)

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills, providing options and recommendations relating to resolving issues

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Excel.

  • Intermediate knowledge and application of PDCA in project management and problem solving

  • Intermediate knowledge of First Article Inspection and PPAP processes.

  • Knowledge of the importance of standardization and experience in leading groups and organization build standardized work at various levels.

  • Ability to influence people at all levels through collaboration and relationship building.

  • Ability to clearly define and assess additional training needs of the various segments at all levels.

  • Knowledge of Database software; Project Management software

  • Oracle experience
