Terex Cranes New Product Development

New product development is a major initiative within Terex Cranes overall strategy. Theintroduction of newproduct offeringsis essential tosatisfy changing customer needs anddefend against competitive pressures.Advanced capabilities and performance in new productdevelopment is key for industry leadership in our markets.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to thePMO Director, this position plays a key leadership role in executing the new product

development strategy for products produced at our manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City, USA.

Full project management responsibility for delivering a range of new product development projects through the

development cycle to start of production. This role is pivotal in developing robust project management disciplines

and in delivering new products to market successfully.

The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced Programme Manager skilled in executing high value,

complex new product development projects. The position is based in OKC and the candidate should be willing to travel

circa 15% of the time, primarily within the USA.

Key Tasks

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Defintion of project scope and requirements

  • Development of time and cost estimates, project plan and budget

  • Monitoring and control of; scope, timing, cost, quality, resource and risk through to project completion

  • Assessment of variances to project targets along with actions to recover to plan

  • Management and leadership of cross-functional project teams

  • Risk management and effective mitigation planning

  • Project status reporting to key stakeholders

  • Project delivery in accordance with Terex new product development processes

  • Implementation of best practice Project Management within new product development

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant discipline e.g.Business, Engineering

Preffered Qualifications

  • Demonstration of successful project execution involving multiple projects within a business sector advanced in Programme Management

  • Knowledge of: scope planning, schedule development, cost estimating, budgeting & control, quality planning, risk management

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to delegate tasks, motivate team members andmanage stakeholder priorities in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Experience in the management of complex projects requiring excellent planning, organisational andprioritisation skills

  • Experience in successfully managing and leading multi-functional teams

  • First class communication and collaboration skills with the ability to develop relationships at all levels

  • Experience in product development processes

  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen

  • Change management

  • Leadership skills

  • Listening, negotiating, and influencing skills

  • Problem solving

  • Proficient in use of MS tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project

  • Project Management certification preferred
