This position is responsible for all human resource generalist type of activities; this includes: safety/environmental, team member relations, recruitment selection, HRIS, compensation/benefits, compliance/legal, etc. This position will establish credibility and visibility with Team Members, Team Leaders , and Managers through daily interactions and support. This positions reports to the HR Manager and supports 150+ TMs.
Participates in and supports local safety initiatives.
Partners with HSE Manager to manage Worker’s Compensation process.
Assists as needed, HSE Manager in coordination of yearly checks/training.
Team Member Relations
Increases awareness of TM relations at all levels of the organization, with specific focus on shop floor matters.
Has high visibility and builds credibility with TMs by serving as their representative.
Counsels Team Members and Team Leaders on company policies/procedures, etc.
Responsible for creating/updating company policies and procedures.
Assures that team members receive timely responses to questions, issues, and concerns.
In connection with the HR Manager, compiles/analyzes data from TM survey, supports action planning process, follow-up and communication to TMs.
Responsible for managing the recruitment/selection processes for Production Team Members, may provide support in recruitment of roles in other parts of the business.
Conducts behavioral-based interviews for open positions.
Partners with local schools and organizations to help build the Terex brand in the community
Conducts and coordinates orientations for new Team Members.
Create and maintain job postings in iRecruiter
Understanding of company benefits, including medical, dental vision, STD, LTD, FMLA, etc.
Provide answers to benefits related questions from TMs.
Responsible for documention to Shared Services group for all TM changes & updates (HRIS & Payroll).
Prepares monthly headcount report.
Learn Discoverer reporting tool to run reports/analyze data as needed.
Site payroll & timekeeping documentation & training resource
Responsible for yearly Affirmative Action Reporting.
Responsible for yearly EEO and Veteran’s reporting.
3-5 years of HR Generalist, Human Resources, and/or Employment experience
5 years of generalist experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
3 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Trained in Behavioral Based Interviewing & Assessing preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment
Focus on continuous improvement and flexibility to assist the department and take on additional areas of responsibility outside of the recruitment/selection scope as needed as well as cross train w/other members of the HR Team
