The major responsibilities of working with the Quality Assurance Team are to improve production processes through data collection and analysis, RCCA, and implementation of Quality Management Systems. Direct customer support including problem solving, reporting, and on-site visits. Developing and maintaining metrics for the Quality Assurance department.
Participates in the installation and sequencing of machines, work stations, tools, parts and supplies to optimize the efficiency of the production process.
Prepares engineering process documentation.
Studies manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, assembly processes, and industrial engineering. Studies utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and team members to suggest layouts that enhance productivity.
Gathers and analyzes process information including cycle times, measurements, test results, trends, etc., used for statistical process control, cost analysis, and planning.
Researches and analyzes design proposals for ability to manufacture on a basis that minimizes waste and cost. Suggests design modifications to facilitate production.
Applies statistical measures to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
Researches and recommends parts, supply, and maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and servicing schedules that conform to production needs.
Assists Design and Project Engineers, customers, and manufacturing team members to resolve engineering-related production problems.
Participates in cross-functional meetings to evaluate staffing mix and levels necessary for safe and efficient manufacturing.
Participates with Design Engineers to discuss and evaluate new product design or re-design and manufacture.
Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
0-3 years of solid work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms with all levels within the organization.
Must be able to organize and sequence work associated with complex designs, converting them into production action plans.
Must be able to effectively communicate complex technical issues to others and to work cooperatively with both internal and external customers.
Capability to utilize wide application of standard mechanical and/or industrial engineering principles, theories and concepts, preferred.
Knowledge of AWP or similar products and components including electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission, and structural members is preferred.
An in depth understanding of Genie or similar production processes, including Engineering Specifications, Engineering Procedures, and Genie Assembly Requirements standards is preferred.
Demonstrated focus on safety, quality and efficiency as applied to production processes is preferred.
Sufficient ability to create and maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research, development and maintenance of equipment and processes is preferred.
