We deliver the best customer service in the industry by providing knowledgeable, timely assistance to customers world-wide. As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for new equipment set-up and commissioning, as well as trouble shooting and repair for the FUCHS product line. Additionally you will create content for, and conduct, PowerPoint classroom training and hands-on demonstrations for service training schools. You will work closely with engineers and the production team to support, enhance and improve our products.
As a Field Service Technician-in-training, you will be trained by the company to become an expert technician for the FUCHS product line. You will learn to assist dealers and customers with the set-up, safety and operations, troubleshooting and repair of material handler equipment. You will learn:
On-site technical support, installation and service for the FUCHS product line.
Equipment designs, specifications and equipment requirements.
Proper way to document work and prepare field service reports.
How to escalate equipment quality issues to initiate quality alerts and prevent repeat failures.
How to effectively provide engineering with field performance data and recommended improvements.
How to act as a Fuchs Terex advocate in all situations.
How to manage time, skills and resources to product maximum volume of work with the least amount of errors.
How to review reported failures and assist Warranty Administrator with claim evaluation.
How to support the Help Desk Technician
How to assist with the display and simulation of equipment and technical presentation
How to assist Training Coordinator with the development and presentation of training materials.
Active passport for travel outside the U.S.
B asic Qualifications
High school graduate or GED equivalent
2 years experience working knowledge of Electronics, Hydraulics, Engines and Electrical Troubleshooting
Solid mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems and the ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, both in-person and over the phone.
Ability and willingness to make decisions with purpose and a strong sense of urgency to resolve equipment failures promptly.
Ability to work independently and use available resources to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Must interact well with others in a diverse environment and be a team player.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Good computer experience required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
