We deliver the best customer service in the industry by providing knowledgeable, timely assistance to customers world-wide. As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for new equipment set-up and commissioning, as well as trouble shooting and repair for the FUCHS product line. Additionally you will create content for, and conduct, PowerPoint classroom training and hands-on demonstrations for service training schools. You will work closely with engineers and the production team to support, enhance and improve our products.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician-in-training, you will be trained by the company to become an expert technician for the FUCHS product line. You will learn to assist dealers and customers with the set-up, safety and operations, troubleshooting and repair of material handler equipment. You will learn:

  • On-site technical support, installation and service for the FUCHS product line.

  • Equipment designs, specifications and equipment requirements.

  • Proper way to document work and prepare field service reports.

  • How to escalate equipment quality issues to initiate quality alerts and prevent repeat failures.

  • How to effectively provide engineering with field performance data and recommended improvements.

  • How to act as a Fuchs Terex advocate in all situations.

  • How to manage time, skills and resources to product maximum volume of work with the least amount of errors.

  • How to review reported failures and assist Warranty Administrator with claim evaluation.

  • How to support the Help Desk Technician

  • How to assist with the display and simulation of equipment and technical presentation

  • How to assist Training Coordinator with the development and presentation of training materials.

  • Active passport for travel outside the U.S.

Qualifications:

B asic Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

  • 2 years experience working knowledge of Electronics, Hydraulics, Engines and Electrical Troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems and the ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, both in-person and over the phone.

  • Ability and willingness to make decisions with purpose and a strong sense of urgency to resolve equipment failures promptly.

  • Ability to work independently and use available resources to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Must interact well with others in a diverse environment and be a team player.

  • Must be dependable and punctual.

  • Good computer experience required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
