About the Position
Title: Junior Treasury Analyst
Reports to: Assistant Treasurer
Location: Westport, CT
The key responsibility in this role is to provide support to the Treasury team within Terex Corporation's Treasury Operations in the following areas: Cash Management, Cash Flow Forecasting, FX Hedging, Trade Receivable Discounting, and Trade Finance. The Junior Treasury Analyst will be expected to provide efficient support in cash management and other additional key areas of responsibility, but will be provided with the opportunity to learn all aspects of the treasury function within a global environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Assistant Treasurer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide comprehensive backup support to the cash management function, which includes preparing the daily cash position, orchestrating inter-company settlements, executing wire transfers, and monitoring bank accounts and signatories.
Assist in the collection of cash flow projections from Terex's global operations and the preparation of consolidated cash flow projections.
Learn how to execute the FX hedging program, including identifying foreign currency exposures and mitigating these exposures with spot and forward foreign exchange contracts in adherence to the FX hedging policy.
Allocate gains/losses to the appropriate business units and prepare the related accounting information.
Perform monthly and quarterly FX reporting and hedge effectiveness analysis.
Learn how to implement the trade receivable discounting program, including liaising with business units to identify suitable invoices, discounting the receivables with the existing service providers, monitoring collections and outstandings, and reporting related accounting information back to the business units.
Assist in processing LC requests from the business units by verifying accuracy and consistency with approved practices and initiate utilizing web-enabled bank system.
Providing general support in a variety of projects to all members of the treasury team as required, including international activity.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management
6 months experience in a similar role.
Prior Intern experience within a cash management/treasury environment
Intermediate Excel skills
