Terex Corporation Commercial Operations Manager in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Overview:

This position will lead the new equipment inside sales commercial operations team for Terex Cranes North America. This role will provide support to the sales organization by managing commercial function interdependencies and key sales processes. Manages process controls to deliver competitive proposals, track and consolidate sales activities, create annual forecasts and provide planning tools for manufacturing and supply chain. Actively contribute to the bidding strategy, provides letters of credit, manage international transfers and shipment process requirements.

Responsibilities:

Provide the organization with accurate, timely and actionable information and work with all commercial functions to enable the field sales team and support business decisions.

  • Provide leadership and support to the business planning process and ongoing performance metrics and reporting against business plan.

  • Provide the outside sales team with transactional support to efficiency forecast, quote, and fill orders with a high level of accuracy.

  • Interact with sales leaders, consolidate their input and provide forward looking perspective to help manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and finance teams to anticipate business needs and trends (S&OP).

  • Provide market intelligence and competitive data to the sales leadership team.

  • Coordinate pricing administration, annual program agreement coordination, management of promotions and all tracking related to sales.

  • Communicate with customers on order status and delivery dates.

  • Insure all order acknowledgements are returned in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate and efficient records to effectively track customer orders.

  • Maintain regular communication with; traffic team on shipment requirements, sales leaders, customers and dealers.

  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and abide by compliance measures at all times.

  • Responsible for the deal sheet process, trade process, tracking, approval supporting the business; Delegation of Authority

  • Manages Sales Operations in accordance with company policy

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relative professional experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Finance or other related commercial function experience preferred.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of People management experience or demonstrated experience managing teams is required.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of Proven experience of heavy equipment, or related industry.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit, Performance Bonds, Incoterms

  • Excellent communication skills; oral, written, and presentation skills required.

  • Business acumen: understands business concepts and issues, understands products and the cranes industry. Understands the bottom-line impact of recommended strategies.

  • Results driven: detail oriented, drives for results and accountable for metrics. Demonstrated sense of urgency yet remains calm under pressure.

  • Ability to multi-task and switch between priorities as required

  • Ability to travel as necessary
