About the Position

Title: Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Number of Positions: 1

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Type: 10 Week Paid Summer Internship

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Work with the existing Engineering Team to design new products and redesign/modify components for improved products and/or customer special requests.

  • Plan, design and document new products by performing calculations, making layouts, drawings, etc.

  • Investigate/create engineering change requests to improve product, correct errors, facilitate production, and reduce cost.


  • Minimum sophomore year standing as of Spring 2018 at an accredited 4 year university/college

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 required to submit to Terex Career Database

  • 2D/3D CAD Experience (Solid Works, etc.)

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus

  • 40 hours per week during normal office hours, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
