Overview

Position Title : Inventory Master Planner

Location : Dungannon

Reporting to : Parts Supplychain Manager

Hours of work : 40 hours per week

The Inventory Planner for the parts team will be responsible for developing demand forecasts based on historical demand trends. They will provide input to the department and develop inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase outs. This role will also be responsible for analysing and monitoring current E&O.

Responsibilities

  • Basic forecast modeling

  • Monitor trends in forecast/demand history and action accordingly

  • Identify and update relevant supplier data and intelligence

  • Managing the Inventory Plans and Forecast Models for multiple sites.

  • Continuously improve forecasting techniques including reorder point, min/max , mrp, forecasting methods and approach

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting - identify business risks and opportunities

  • Provide analysis and manage the actions on current stock holding in relation to existing E&O reports

  • Release of orders to the supplier network based on current demand and manage a number of supplier accounts.

  • Support the development of the supply chain planning function, providing coaching and training to the supply chain planning team

  • Ensure compliance to applicable quality requirements

  • Perform additional duties at the request of the Operations/Supply chain Manager

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths grade A-C or equivalent minimum. A 3 rd level qualification is desirable.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in material/inventory planning

  • Knowledge of SAP or Oracle Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning is desirable.

  • The ability to demonstrate proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impact.

  • Excellent computer skills and have advanced Excel experience

  • C.P.I M Qualified or equivalent (Certificate in Production and Inventory management) would be desirable though not essential
