About the Position

Title: Business & Planning Analyst

Reports to: Infrastructure Operations Manager

Shift: Normal

Location: Lurgan, N.Ireland

Travel: 15%

The Business & Planning Analyst role will report to the Infrastructure Operations Manager and will be responsible for managing assigned IT global business projects and initiatives. The Business & Planning Analyst will be responsible for working with selected IT and business teams to insure that business processes are defined and implemented, and that supporting IT tools are specified, delivered, and are fully operational. This will include preparation of detailed plans for large IT projects and identification of value creation opportunities to enhance overall investment business case. The Business & Planning Analyst will also partner the extended GIOS and Segment infrastructure IT teams to drive initiatives from project, process, site assessment and troubleshooting perspectives.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical project management on core infrastructure projects.

  • Manage multiple projects, and provide technical leadership with non IT business users to drive projects to completion.

  • Support the development and management of the core business application tools and manage theoptimisationof key business processes related to the use of the systems.

  • Key applications & systems research service to support the GIOS IT team using Gartner and other research bodies.

  • Production of transparent management reports including variance analysis for specific or combined business unit functions.

  • Work with our internal partners / customers & suppliers to build business cases & ROI justifications which provide added business value.

  • Identification of cost reduction opportunities and reporting of savings made.

  • Participates, co-ordinates and contributes to the annual strategy/roadmap and budgetary review process.

  • Liaise with the GIOS IT team and Segment IT teams to gather detailed business requirements and then translate these requirements into specifications for the development and support of the business.

  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate withorganisationalrequirements for SOX & global IT Policies & Procedures.

  • Help identify success measurement standards for GIOS and Segment IT projects and liaison with the Project Management Office (PMO).

  • Participation in the definition & maintenance of key KPI to help drive measurement & continuous improvement opportunities within the IT function.

  • Challenge budgets and projects where necessary, within given assumptions and maintain valid financial plans.

  • Ensure that related documentation and processes are up to date and managed in accordance with Terex IT / Finance policies & procedures.

  • Liaise with various business and customer based stakeholders to manage timely supplier engagement in order to meet customer requirements.

  • Definition & maintenance of a centralised IT document repository to support the operational efficiency of the wider GIOS IT team.

  • Definition of control processes that support the implementation and on-going support of global helpdesk operations.Satisfy those requirements to agreed deadlines and motivate Segment IT partners to show equal commitment to those deadlines.

Qualifications:

Level of education required:

  • Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, MIS, public administration, or business administration.

  • Experience Level

  • Three years experience performing project coordination or management, including at least two years coordinating or managing small to medium-sized IT projects.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into system requirements.

  • Understanding of a range of tools for process planning, monitoring and evaluation, process mapping and analysis.

  • Demonstrable experience of participating in or managing successful change projects.

  • Experience in system testing desirable, including documentation.

  • Proven expert knowledge with Microsoft Office Product Suite, including Visio.

  • Knowledge of data protection and other related legislation.

  • IT background, infrastructure planning, service delivery would be desirable.

  • Demonstrated Business Process Flows experience required.

  • Skills:

  • A demonstrated commitment to achieving results and targets through effective application of effort and available resources.

  • Excellent business analysis and process management skills.

  • Excellent project management methodologies/tools/techniques and their application to IT projects.

  • Project lifecycle stages including conceptualisation, requirements gathering, planning, execution and decommissioning systems.

  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.

  • Methods and techniques of tracking, recording, and presenting information.

  • Skilled in writing technical and non-technical project materials including business cases, ROI justification documents, project plans, timelines, supplier agreements, technical documentation and status reports.

  • Skilled in working effectively with a diverse client base.

  • Ability to work well with people from many different cultural backgrounds, different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience over geographically dispersed locations.

  • Solid financial experience and good understanding of accounting principles and budgeting processes.

  • Self motivated and high energy.

  • Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time depending on assigned business initiatives
